Our entire narrative is contained within the body, which becomes the storybook of our lives. Yoga provides us with tools to write and rewrite the story we want to live.

As a teacher Brittany is known for a practice based on introspection, insight, intelligence, imagination, technique, practicality, safety, balance, transcendence, community, playfulness and human touch. She is known for her unique style of guidance which relies on practical, functional, intelligent practices that lead to health and longevity. Her classes rely on eloquent metaphors, intelligent sequencing, and supportive hands-on assists. She draws inspiration from a wide variety of influences including her studies of yoga, dance, improvisation, literature, philosophy, psychology, and Taoist theory.

Brittany has certifications in vinyasa, restorative, and Katonah Yoga © and has studied extensively with her mentor, Katonah Yoga founder Nevine Michaan. Katonah Yoga incorporates classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor, and imagination — in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being. Brittany is Houston's only Katonah Yoga certified teacher and she has woven the Katonah principles into the fabric of her teaching.  She has trained over 100 yoga teachers and continues guide and mentor yoga teachers in the Houston yoga community.

Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Brittany attended the University of Georgia where she studied Journalism and French. She lived in France and New York City before settling in Houston. She currently teaches high school English and rides her bike to work.
